STEVEN  PRICE

Senior Pastor
Steven began serving as our senior pastor in August of 2020.  Prior to coming to FBC Steven served in various capacities in two other churches in Arkansas. Pastor Steven accepted Jesus as Lord in June of 1995 and is passionate about seeing people come to faith in Christ, proclaiming the Word of God in such a way as to edify and equip the church, and taking the gospel to places where it has never been before.  Steven holds both a Master of Divinity and a Master of Theological Studies from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary as well as a B.A. in Christian Ministries from Williams Baptist University.  Steven and his wife Angie have two boys and enjoy spending time outdoors, watching football, and drinking coffee. 


STEVE  MOORE

Associate Pastor of Music and Administration
Bro. Steve began serving FBC Marianna as Associate Pastor  in February 2010.  Steve received his Bachelor of Church Music degree from Ouachita Baptist Univeristy and his Master of Music in Choral Conducting degree from the University of Oklahoma.  He previously served in Springdale, Arkansas.   Over the past 37 years, he has served churches in Arkansas, Louisiana, Alabama, Georgia and Indiana.  Steve and his wife, Sherry, have a son, Garrett and daughter-in-law, Logan, and a daughter, Faith and son-in-law, Cameron.  In his spare time, he enjoys biking , golf, and pickleball.  Steve and Sherry are now enjoying their first grandchild!


MITCH  SMITH

Student Pastor
Mitch brings a wealth of experience to our student ministry.  For years he has been leading students in the classroom, on the field and in the church.  First Baptist was blessed to have him join our staff in the summer of 2022.  In addition to serving as our Student Pastor, he presently is the Head Football and Baseball Coach at Lee Academy.  Mitch is a graduate of Mississippi State University and he and his wife, Amanda, have two daughters.

About God

There is one and only one living and true God.  He is an intelligent, spiritual, and personal Being, the Creator, Redeemer, Preserver, and Ruler of the universe. God is infinite in holiness and all other perfections.  God is all powerful and all knowing; and His perfect knowledge extends to all things, past, present, and future, including the future decisions of His free creatures.  To Him we owe the highest love, reverence, and obedience.  The eternal triune God reveals Himself to us as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, with distinct personal attributes, but without division of nature, essence, or being.

About The Gospel

The heart of the gospel is the good news that Christ died for our sins and was raised from the dead.  What makes this good news is that Christ’s death accomplished a perfect righteousness before God and suffered a perfect condemnation from God, both of which are counted as ours through faith alone, so that we have eternal life with God in the new heavens and the new earth.

About The Bible

The Holy Bible was written by men divinely inspired and is God’s revelation of Himself to man.  It is a perfect treasure of divine instruction.  It has God for its author, salvation for its end, and truth, without any mixture of error, for its matter.  Therefore, all Scripture is totally true and trustworthy.  It reveals the principles by which God judges us, and therefore is, and will remain to the end of the world, the true center of Christian union, and the supreme standard by which all human conduct, creeds, and religious opinions should be tried.  All Scripture is a testimony to Christ, who is Himself the focus of divine revelation.
