In 1848, 16 people met to organize a Baptist church in a small community just outside of Marianna, Arkansas.
Almost 170 years later, the ministry of that church still seeks to reach people in the Delta and around the world.
God continues to use FBC Marianna as a strong spiritual voice in the community. Though the Delta has experienced many changes over the years, God placed our church here for all those yet to be reached.
We're excited about the future of FBC Marianna and the ways God will use our church in the coming years.
We hope you will join us.
Our desire is to reproduce “POWERFUL” churches. Here's what we believe a healthy church looks like:
Participation - Every member will be an active participant in the church's ministry.
Obedience – The church will obey Scripture and the Lordship of Christ as members discover and develop their spiritual gifts.
Willingness – The church will educate, support and submit to the servant-leadership of God-called pastors.
Emphasis – The church will emphasize small-group interaction, mutual accountability and the training of leaders.
Reproduces – The church will intentionally reproduce disciples.
Focused – The church will focus on sending members out among the unreached to plant new churches.
Unprecedented – The church will experience God’s unprecedented power and provision as a result of praying and living by faith.
Looked – The church will be looked upon with respect by others because of its love, integrity and strong families.
We offer Sunday School classes every Sunday morning for children of all ages. These classes aim to instill a foundational understanding of Jesus and the Gospel through Bible stories and fun activities.
Four and 5 year olds meet on the first floor of the Education building. Classes for 1st through 3rd graders and 4th through 6th graders meet on the second floor.
Children 3 years old and younger can be cared for in our preschool and nursery department.
Every Wednesday night, our children meet in the Family Life Center for our 180 children's ministry. 180 is a time of worship, Bible study and games specifically designed to teach exciting biblical truth to kids K-6th grade.
Each summer our children attend a Children's Camp that is usually for grades 2nd-6th.
If you, or your child are interested in going, please contact Steve Moore (call (479) 841-6590 or email email@example.com).
Students 7th through 12th grade meet for a Bible study each Sunday morning in the Youth Room located in the basement of the Education building.
Our youth leadership is passionate about challenging students to apply God's Word to every aspect of their lives.
On Wednesday evenings, students also meet in the Youth Room for a meal and a time of biblical teaching and fellowship.
Our students attended MFuge Camp each summer. We have attended camp at Belmont University in Nashville, University of Mobile (Mobile, AL), Union University in Jackson, TN, as well as in Orlando, FL and Ridgecrest, NC.
If you, or your student, are interested in going next year, please contact Steve Moore (call (479) 841-6590 or email firstname.lastname@example.org).
We offer several classes for adults on Sunday mornings. There is a Young Adult class for young singles or married couples and our New Beginnings class for median aged adults. Both of these classes meet on the second floor of the Education Building.
Those in their 50s and 60s, as well as senior adults, meet every Sunday morning in their own classes as well. They meet on the first floor of the Education building.
There is also a Women's Class that meets in a classroom just outside the sanctuary.
These groups are built to complement and expand upon our corporate Sunday morning worship. Each class provides a time of intentional fellowship and prayer. We believe this lays the foundation for building a supportive and loving family in Christ.
On the third Wednesday of each month, our XYZ senior adult ministry meets for lunch and a special time of encouragement and community. This might involve guest speakers, trips to local concerts and restaurants or other outings.
For more information, contact Tommy and Arlene Allen or the church office (870) 295-9131).
Also, on Wednesday mornings, there is a Women's Bible Study group that meets weekly in the Family Life Center. For more information, contact BJ McClendon or the Church Office.
Our adult choir leads Sunday morning worship and performs musicals during special services throughout the year. They meet on Sundays at 4:00 p.m.
If you are interested in joining the choir, contact Steve Moore (call (479) 841-6590 or email email@example.com).
